Presentation 1

Evaluating Effectiveness and Improving a Platform for Teaching Text Analysis
Amy Kirchhoff
Constellate / ITHAKA, United States of America

Have you ever built a tool, assessed its use in real life, and then sought to improve its impact? Constellate, too! We’ll talk about the methodologies we used to identify the challenges of instructors using Constellate to teach text analysis, improvements we made, and lessons learned along the way.

Presentation 2

Privacy Literacy through Storytelling
Jennifer Holland
University of Houston, United States of America

This presentation will explore the concept of privacy from a theoretical feminist perspective which recognizes the contexts, affective forces, and relational connections that drive privacy decisions. Participants will learn how a form of narrative inquiry called story completion can surface these tensions and consider implications for privacy literacy instruction.
